Glazebury Gala
This is an annual event in the village when the whole community comes together to have fun, spend time together and raise funds for All Saints church. The Gala first began in the village in 1928 and with a few breaks during the war years has happened for 80 years. Each year we choose a Gala Queen and a group of young people who form a retinue. All are chosen from our church, school or community. If you missed the Glazebury Gala this year-note that the next one will be on Saturday 11th July 2009 The day after the Gala it is tradition for the present Gala Queen and the Retiring Gala Queen to attend church and share in a special service with others in the community and to give thanks to God for all that is good in our village life.
